Caitlin J. Akins

Caitlin is Counsel with the firm and has over a decade of experience practicing trusts and estates law.  She received her J.D. from Boston College Law School, magna cum laude, in 2011, where she was an Articles Editor for the Boston College Law Review. Caitlin obtained her A.B. from Princeton University, cum laude, in 2006.

In her practice, Caitlin takes a personal approach to estate planning by joining each client’s particular needs and goals with insightful legal and tax advice. She counsels high net-worth individuals and families on estate planning and charitable giving matters and counsels fiduciaries on trust administration and estate administration. Caitlin has extensive experience advising and facilitating planning for multi-generational families with large real estate portfolios, family businesses, and charitable entities.

Caitlin previously practiced trusts and estates law for a number of years in Boston, Massachusetts, and is currently admitted to practice in both Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. She is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Probate and Trust Law Section, the Boston Bar Association’s Trusts and Estates Section, and the American Bar Association’s Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law. Caitlin also serves on the board of trustees for the Radnor Memorial Library.

In 2019, Caitlin was selected for ACTEC’s inaugural Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute. Caitlin was recognized in “Best Lawyers of America – Ones to Watch” in 2023 and she was also named a Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2020 and 2021.
