Pam H. Schneider

Pam is one of the three founding partners of Gadsden Schneider & Woodward LLP and served as a partner in the firm until December 31, 2013, after which she became Of Counsel.  Prior to founding the firm, Pam was a partner in the Personal and Fiduciary Law department of Philadelphia-based Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, which she joined as an associate after practicing with the law firm of White & Case in New York City. Pam received her J.D. from Columbia Law School and her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Pam is a past chair of the Section on Real Property, Trust and Estate Law of the American Bar Association, a past member of the Board of Regents of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (“ACTEC”), a former trustee of the ACTEC Foundation and a former member of the Pennsylvania Joint State Government Commission Advisory Committee on Decedents’ Estates Laws. She was an adjunct professor in the Masters Program in Taxation at New York University School of Law, where she co-taught courses in Advanced Estate Planning and the Federal Generation-Skipping Transfer Tax.  In addition, she served as an advisor to two of the American Law Institute’s projects on the Restatement of the Law.

Pam has lectured extensively throughout the United States on generation-skipping transfers and other estate planning topics, including at the University of Miami’s Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning, where she also serves on the Institute’s Advisory Board.  She has been recognized as one of the nation’s top estate planning lawyers by inclusion in various publications, including Chambers USA, which ranked her in the top-tier for wealth management.  She was also named the “1998 Distinguished Estate Planner” by the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council and as the “Philadelphia Area Best Lawyers Trusts and Estates Lawyer of the Year” for 2010.  Pam was elected to the Estate Planning Hall of Fame of the National Association of Estate Planning Councils in 2010 and in 2011 she was one of three attorneys named by The National Law Journal as the Most Influential Lawyers in Trusts and Estates.
