Christopher H. Gadsden

Chris is one of the three founding partners of Gadsden Schneider & Woodward LLP.  Before founding the firm, he was a partner and chair of the Personal and Fiduciary Law Department of Philadelphia-based Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, which he joined upon graduation from law school.  He received his J.D. from Yale Law School and his B.S. from Yale College.

Chris’s practice focuses on sophisticated estate planning for wealthy individuals, as well as estate and trust administration and litigation.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (“ACTEC”) and the chair of the ACTEC Financial Action Task Force Committee, the past chair of the ACTEC Professional Responsibility Committee and a past chair of the Probate and Trust Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association.  He  served for four years as the co-chair of the National Conference of Lawyers and Corporate Fiduciaries, the primary liaison organization between the American Bar Association and the trust division of the American Bankers Association.  For several years Chris was an adjunct professor at the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Chris has published numerous articles on estate planning, trust and estate administration and professional responsibility obligations of trust and estate lawyers.  He has lectured frequently on these topics throughout the United States.  Chris has been recognized as one of the nation’s top estate planning lawyers by inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America, Who’s Who in American Law and Super Lawyers.
