Peter J. Bietz

Peter’s practice focuses primarily upon the areas of estate planning, estate & trust administration, complex trust and tax issues, and entails the preparation, review, and the implementation of estate plans, wills, and a wide variety of trusts.

Peter also advises small business owners on business and tax matters, usually in conjunction with their personal estate planning. His legal experience in both private practice and with a corporate trustee give him a unique perspective on the resolution of issues arising in complicated trust administration and fiduciary matters, and his prior experience working at a small business, allows him to better understand his clients’ needs from the perspective of a small business owner.

Peter has been practicing law for over ten years, including time as Senior Trust Counsel to a Delaware trust company. Peter has had several of his articles concerning estate planning published in the Pennsylvania Law Weekly. Peter is currently a member of the bar in Pennsylvania, New York, and Massachusetts (inactive) and is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court.

Peter graduated with a B.S. in Finance and a minor in business law from the Pennsylvania State University. After graduating from Penn State, prior to obtaining his law degree, Peter worked as an accountant for a small closely held business in New Jersey. Peter went on to earn his J.D. from the Boston University School of Law, and received his LL.M. in Taxation from Villanova University Law School.
